Tom Bean and Susan Lamb explore central Italy to photograph and write about the natural landscape that inspired Saint Francis of Assisi.
We will be learning about the geology, plants, animals—and the stories and places associated with Saint Francis—in Umbria, Tuscany, and Le Marche.
Susan & Tom, Your project and adventure in Italy sound terrific! Thanks for sending David and me a heads up about it. How long will you be there? If all goes well we will be in France, Spain, and possibly Italy this fall during September and October. If you're still there, let's get together and celebrate St. Francis and the natural world.
